Particulars The VROUWE ELISABETH DOROTHEA initially set out on 29-09-1765, but 2 weeks later it was back at Texel (12-10); on 25-10 the ship sailed out for the second time; adverse wind, however, again forced it to return to Texel (31-10); 15-11 is the third and final date of departure. The VROUWE ELISABETH DOROTHEA replaced the BRONSTEE, missing in 1763 between Batavia and the Cape, see 7648.
