The Reformation was a seismic shift that challenged the establishment, set off a chain of events and profoundly altered the course of history.
This symposium seeks to investigate the events of 1517, what led to them, their immediate and later aftermath, and how they still resonate today

- Rev Dr Peter Clarkson Matheson. Emeritus Professor Knox Theological College, Dunedin and Fellow of the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, University of Otago, New Zealand.
Peter Matheson is Emeritus Professor at Knox Theological College, Dunedin and Fellow of the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He has taught theology internationally and for seventeen years was lecturer and senior lecturer in Ecclesiastical History at New College, Edinburgh University. He has authored many books and articles on the subject of the Reformation among them, The Imaginative World of the Reformation and The Rhetoric of the Reformation.
