Less well known is the part that Luther’s movement played in transforming the look of the printed book. But reformers did not just write their books and hope for the best: the Reformation was at every stage a triumph of salesmanship and design. In this presentation Andew Pettegree describes how reformers moulded the printed book to fit the particular news of different markets and different situations.
