This year marks the eighth edition of the Heritage in Motion Awards. Once more, the HiM Awards provide a stage for creators and producers of films, apps, websites and interactive experiences related to Europe’s heritage, cultural and natural, tangible and intangible to showcase innovation. An international competition, Heritage in Motion celebrates the most advanced multimedia achievements and innovative use of technology, sharing the core values of European heritage in new ways.

The winners will be announced during the Heritage in Motion Awards ceremony on the 21st of September 2021. The ceremony will take place on the first day of the European Cultural Summit, hosted by Europa Nostra. Heritage in Motion is a joint initiative of Europa Nostra and the European Museum Academy and is empowered by Europeana. Europa Nostra, the Voice of Cultural Heritage, represents a rapidly growing citizen’s movement for the safeguarding of Europe’s cultural and natural heritage. Its extensive European network covers almost 50 countries in Europe. The European Museum Academy is a non-profit foundation representing museums at the European level. The EMA has members in more than 30 countries.
