Vacature: Dan David Post-Doctoral Fellowship Women’s History or Gender History (Deadline 1 March)

The Dan David Foundation Fund for Excellence in Historical Research at the Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies, Tel Aviv University, Israel, will award one post-doctoral fellowship to host a non-Israeli whose research focuses on women’s history or gender and history.

The one-year fellowships of $30,000 will be awarded for the 2017-2018 academic year. The fellow will conduct his/her research under the supervision of a senior faculty member from the School of History at Tel Aviv University (subject to the terms of the Fund). The fellow will engage in research connected with gis or her area of research and writing. He or she will be expected to reside in the Tel Aviv area. Tel Aviv University PhD holders are not eligible to apply.

To be eligible, candidates must have received their PhD at an accredited institution of higher learning no earlier than 1 October 2012 and no later than 1 October 2017. They are requested to submit proof of PhD, three letters of reference, a curriculum vitae, a writing sample, a description of the work to be undertaken as fellow and an endorsement from the faculty member with whom they will be working.

The recipient will be expected to participate in the post-doctoral seminar of the School of History, “Contextualizing the Self: Creating and Recreating the First Person”
