Environmental History in the 19th and 20th Centuries: Knowledge, Transformations, and Societies

The project is open in topic and geographical focus. We are particularly interested in proposals exploring the historical relationships between societies and environments — whether through environmental knowledge, transformations of landscapes and resources, environmental movements, or cultural representations of nature.

The PhD will be co-supervised with Stéphane Frioux, and the candidate will join a lively research environment in environmental history and history of science.
