HNA is committed to increasing the diversity of the field and its scholarship, as well as supporting the values of equity and inclusion. For this reason, we particularly encourage applications from BIPOC scholars, and from perspectives long underrepresented in the field of Northern European art.
Winners will be notified in February 2023, with funds to be distributed by April. The application should consist of: (1) a short description of project (1-2 pp), in which you describe your project and its significance, and situate it within the relevant literature; (2) a budget; (3) a list of further funds applied/received for the same project; and (4) a current C.V. Doctoral applicants must also include a letter of recommendation (maximum 1 page) from an advisor, which should be emailed separately by the referee under the subject line: HNA Fellowship Letter for [Candidate’s Name].
Applications should be compiled into a single pdf and sent via e-mail by January 9, 2023, to Ashley West, Vice-President, Historians of Netherlandish Art. E-mail: ashley.west@temple.edu.
