Food and drink in communism gained increasing interest in the last decades both in science and in post-communist societies.
While the body of research on the topic grows, it is still scattered and not always in dialogue. This conference aims at bringing it together, in its own right. It also seeks to encourage comparative studies, which would bridge the national research into a greater historical map of the Eastern part of the Iron curtain.
