Network Manager Thematic Digital Competence Centre Social Sciences and Humanities 34,2 hours per week (0.9 FTE)

What you’ll be doing
The TDCC SSH will be governed by a general board with representatives of the main stakeholders and infrastructures such as ODISSEI and CLARIAH, and others. A three-headed executive board will be responsible for setting up the strategy and supervise the implementation. Under the responsibility of the executive board, a Network Manager and Community Coordinator will jointly conduct the daily management of the TDCC SSH. They will be formally appointed with DANS, national centre of expertise and repository for research data, and member of the governance of the TDCC’s. The Network Manager and Community Coordinator will be working together closely with DANS community liaisons.

Your tasks include

  • Responsibility for designing and overseeing a five-year strategic programme for the TDCC SSH
  • Driving membership collaboration and ensuring continued engagement of the participants
  • Developing and supporting an inclusive the governance structure
  • Representation the TDCC SSH within the SSH research community, NWO and other TDCC’s
  • Responsibility for the (financial) annual reports, budgets and reports to the board, advisory council, members and NWO.

What we expect from the Network Manager

  • You have at least several years of research experience and a relevant network within the SSH domain
  • You have a good understanding of the importance of digital competencies and research data infrastructures within contemporary research in The Netherlands
  • You have a and demonstrated ability to bring people together around a shared goal
  • You have excellent command of the English language, understanding Dutch is an asset

Your gross monthly salary will amount to a min. of € 5.506 and max. € 6.702 (Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch universities/KNAW, scale 13) on a full-time basis, excluding 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus. The temporary appointment will be for one year, with the option of a permanent position.

Terms of employment
Depending on education and experience the minimum salary is € 5.506,- and the maximum salary is € 6.702,- gross per month for a full-time appointment (scale 13 cao Nederlandse Universiteiten/KNAW). This is exclusive of 8% vacation allowance, 8.3% year-end bonus, travel allowance, internet allowance, home working allowance and pension accrual with ABP.
