More information

For many researchers collaborate across institutions on specific research themes, and they could benefit from joint support for their research theme. For example, this could concern how you make agreements to better disclose and share data, or about the development of software that makes data analysis within that research theme easier.

This thematic centre is closely associated with  two other thematic Digital Competence Centers. Researchers and institutions will work together in these network organisations to develop exchangeable and reusable data and software, with the associated competencies, for specific research themes.

There are three TDCC networks that will bring together researchers in three ‘domains’ (just like the domains in the National Roadmap for Large-scale Research Facilities):

  • Life Science & Health (LSH);
  • Natural and Engineering Sciences (NES);
  • Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).

About DANS
DANS Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS-KNAW) is the Dutch national centre of expertise and repository for research data. We are a service provider that helps researchers to make their data available for reuse. This allows other scientists to use the data for new research and makes published research verifiable and reproducible. With more than 180,000 datasets, dozens of European projects and a staff of 60, DANS is among the leading data repositories in Europe.

Working at DANS means working in an informal and international environment where colleagues from diverse backgrounds work together to achieve organizational goals and where people receive confidence and room to execute, develop and grow. Internally, we apply the same principles as we do with our services: we are accessible, reliable and innovative.
